  3. Research Support and Tools

The UW Department of Health Systems and Population Health (HSPop) provides research support and creates research tools for researchers. Supports and tools are available across the UW School of Public Health, the University of Washington, and the country, and can be used to connect with and/or support their partners.

Qualitative Research Group

The Qualitative Research Core (QRC) provides qualitative research support and resources. The QRC team assists research teams in a variety of ways, such as matching teams with content experts and providing training or resource materials.

NWCPHP Services

The Northwest Center for Public Health Practice (NWCPHP) provides contracted support and services for select projects thanks to their skilled team members. NWCPHP offers training development, evaluation, instructional design, and/or graphic design.

HPRC Tools and Guides

The Health Promotion Research Center (HPRC) collaboratively develops tools and guides. Some of these resources can be used to support research efforts and findings. An example is “Dissemination: Promoting the Use of Best Practices,” a step-by-step guide for disseminating evidence-based strategies outside research settings.

Anti-Racism Resources

At the University of Washington, diversity is integral to excellence. UW provides a vast array of specialized resources for faculty, staff, students to support anti-racism and equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) efforts.

We’ve provided a list of EDI resources.

Information specific to internal department research processes and resources can be found on the department’s intranet.
