The HyFlex format accommodates the schedules of working professionals. Classes meet once a month Thursday-Saturday online or in Bellevue plus once a week via webinar.

The health informatics and health information management accreditor of the University of Washington is the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM). The college’s accreditation for the master degree in health informatics and health information management has been reaffirmed through 2027. CEPH Accredited Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral programs

As part of the University of Washington’s School of Public Health, the Master of Health Informatics and Health Information Management program is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH). CEPH is an independent agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education to accredit schools of public health, and public health programs outside schools of public health.
