Who are we?

The Health Equity Action Research Team (HEART) is a team of public health researchers dedicated to fair and just health for all. We take a Community-Based Participatory Research approach, working with communities to make change happen.

What’s our mission?

Our mission is to reduce health disparities and increase health equity. By partnering with community organizations and members, we hope to promote healthy behaviors, community connection, and social action.

Community-Based Participatory Research

We build trusting relationships with community organizations and health activists. We engage community members in all initiatives to voice community perspectives and needs within our research.
