Community-based research; dietary change; cancer prevention; health disparities

Bio

Engelberta Thompson teaches a course in community and health. Her research focuses on cancer health disparities among underserved populations. She has conducted a number of studies involving the Latino population, with a specific emphasis on cancer prevention and cancer screening for breast, cervical, and colorectal cancers.
