Bio
Chris Mornick, MPH, RDN is the SNAP-Ed Program Manager with the Department of Social and Health Services, overseeing implementation of the SNAP-Ed Program for Washington State. She has worked in public health nutrition for over six years, focusing on leading efforts to build a statewide Farm to Early Care and Education program, improving the nutrition of meals served in state correctional facilities, and collaborating with Special Olympics Washington on the first healthy food and beverage guidelines and policy.
Chris has been recognized for her work by the Washington Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, (Excellence in Community Practice, 2012), the Association of State and Public Health Nutritionists (Outstanding Leadership for the National Fruit and Vegetable Nutrition Council Award, 2021 and Excellence in Advocacy, 2022), and by invitation to the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition and Health.
Chris lives outside of Seattle with her spouse and two young boys. In her free time, Chris enjoys tinkering in the kitchen, reading a good book, and playing outside with her family.
