Connie Montgomery, M.Ed. is an adjunct faculty member in Health Informatics and Health Information Management. Her current teaching experience and passion is in Mindfulness and Leadership.
She is a collaborative, creative educator with strong relationship based leadership, administration, teaching and counseling skills with over 35 years of experience in higher education. Her extensive experience working with diverse student populations reflects her passion for the empowerment and engagement of diverse learning communities.
Her professional experience at the UW and in her career, has included being an innovative and active professional in the University of Washington academic advising community. She was a key collaborator in the authorship of all campus academic advising mission statement and goals. She has held several advising and administrative positions in her years at the University of Washington.
Her current role as adjunct faculty has included teaching mindfulness and leadership for the undergraduate Health Informatics and Health Information Management Program, a highly successful course she developed in 2020. A trained facilitator in BeREAL, a University of Washington mindfulness based program and a teacher in training for Mindful Self- Compassion, she holds two master of education degrees, one in higher education student services administration and one in counseling.
