Bio
Janessa Graves’ work focuses on access to health services among rural and underrepresented populations, including structural factors as they relate to injury and occupational health services access. She is interested in applied research that informs state and federal health policies to improve access to and quality of healthcare services for high-need populations and reduce health inequities in underserved communities. Dr. Graves is the Co-Director of the Occupational Health Services Research training program and leads the Occupational Health Services Area of Emphasis for the Health Services PhD program. Her primary appointment is within the Department of Family Medicine in the UW School of Medicine, where she is core faculty within the WWAMI Rural Health Research Center.
