Research Interests

Dr. Garofalo’s research centers health equity for children and adolescents through the implementation of Whole Person healthcare in the school setting. He is currently co-investigator on a large evaluation study of the King County school-based clinics, identifying potential differences in service utilization by race/ethnicity and school setting.

Bio

Luciano is a naturopathic physician and advocate for school-based healthcare. His clinical training was focused in integrative primary care, pediatrics, and mental health. He subsequently completed a 3-year postdoctoral research training fellowship at the University of Washington, funded by the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health at the NIH.
Luciano co-founded Link Community Clinic (www.linkclinic.org) in Tacoma, WA, an integrative primary care clinic for all income levels and a Vaccines For Children site. He practices general pediatrics as well as autism-specific care.
