John Hartgraves, PMP, MHIHIM is an Associate Teaching Professor and Associate Program Director in the Health Information Management and Health Informatics graduate and undergraduate programs at the University of Washington’s Department of Health Systems and Population Health.
With a professional background spanning software programming, network infrastructure, data analysis, and health IT leadership roles, he has spearheaded significant initiatives for healthcare payers and delivery systems globally. John now specializes in teaching healthcare privacy, security, project management, and informatics, with an emphasis on leadership and management. He has consulted internationally, notably developing IT workforces in India and Malaysia. John holds a Master of Health Informatics and Health Information Management (MHIHIM) from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Texas Tech University Rawls College of Business.
