Five-Year Strategic Plan for the UW’s Health Informatics and Health Information Management Programs – 2025-2030
Background
In 2024, the University of Washington’s Health Informatics and Health Information Management programs launched a collaborative effort to develop a new five-year strategic plan. Guided by The Athena Group, the process included interviews with program and department leaders and staff, nine focus groups with faculty, students, alumni, and advisory board members, and five interactive sessions with current and former program stakeholders. These activities helped identify key challenges, reflect on past successes, and shape future priorities.
