Khadija Aweis | MHA 2020

Hi, I’m Khadija Aweis, a health care professional with a passion for innovation, equity, and impactful change in the health care industry. I’m currently a Growth Executive at Diligent Robotics in Seattle, where I lead new hospital client sales, driving revenue growth. My role also involves managing strategic relationships and developing use case libraries to maximize client value and ROI.

Before this, I was an Account Manager at Quilted Health, where I spearheaded sales efforts for SaaS product lines and established strong relationships with hundreds of midwives. I played a key role in launching the first midwifery managed service organization, which was an incredibly rewarding experience. My efforts led to increased adoption of our offerings and improved payment parity for midwives, enhancing profitability and satisfaction.

I completed the UW MHA program in 2020 and had the privilege of enriching internships at Premera Blue Cross and the University of Washington Medical Center, where I focused on strategic development and health equity. Prior to the MHA program, I did my undergrad at UMD in Community Health. My early career as a Healthcare IT Analyst at ESAC helped me identify my desire for professional growth and pursing the MHA.

As a member of the MHA alumni board, I’m excited to bring my health tech experience to the program, engage with students, and support diversity and inclusion initiatives.  I can’t wait to connect with more UW Alumni!
